Hey all. We’ve been tent camping for a few years now and recently began looking at trailer tents and specifically Camp-lets. We’d visited camperlands in Manchester and viewed the various models but the idea was put on hold due to a house move.

This weekend an advert for a Camp-let randomly appeared on my Facebook marketplace feed, fully loaded with accessories and only 5 miles from my house… it was fate

We visited and got a full demo and due to me not even having a towbar yet kindly towed it to our place.

It’s a 2006 Classic plus with the sun canopy and side annex when set up it’ll look a little like this:

So with the Camp-let in its new home, it was on with the cleaning..

We opened it up to have a little play and to see if we could remember how to do it wink

And then swiftly packed it away again as the wind was getting up and obviously couldn’t peg it down. But the process was nice and simple and everything seemed in good shape..

Next came the cooker. It seems the previous owner liked a fry up but wasn’t mad keen on cleaning so it was pretty gross… but more elbow grease

Also the batteries for the water pump need changing, and the water pipe work looks very vomit so that’ll be sterilised before we go away.

Next to show the outside some love, washed then polished with Autoglym SRP and Meguirs wax for all you detailing fans..

Next came the top weather cover. I was putting this off but turned out very well..

All in all a productive weekend!

The basic tent is as the driveway pic. The front canopy and annexe are separate and zip on to the basic tent
