Since selling my lhd 3.2 911 carrera in may of this year i've been looking to upgrade to a 964 c2 lhd. I've been to London twice(9 hour round trip)to see cars, and been to see another this week near Manchester, all cars described as excellent cars. To be honest i would of been ashamed to have describe them all as in good condition, different coloured panels, blowing exhausts, shabby interiors, over spray, incomplete service histories when described as having a f.s.h, and finally the one in Manchester didn't even start(flat battery).
Am i asking too much, all i want is a genuine cared for car, full history, original paint would be nice but with the oldest 964's being over 12 years old now, i accept that most have been painted in some place or another, nice clean and tidy interior, not thread bare carpets, oil tight, and good clutch.
I'm not after a concours car, so if any one out there knows of such a car thats forsale e-mail me or ring me on 01724 712093 mob 07786 360565.

Try Camtune at Godalming, Surrey.Speak to Ciaran.www.camtune.com ... They have some really good genuine cars.
Don't know whether they do left hookers though?

Dont know if this will help as its RHD, but its a good car..

Firstly, I do not own this car, just advertising it here on behalf of a colleague.

Sliver 1990 (G) 964 Carrera2, 98k miles with FPSH.

Black Leather (Half leather).

Bodywork in very good condition (I could see no rust)

Personal car of Oracle Director, but company payed maintenance bills without limit!!! Therefore, V impressive service document history.

Circa £17,000. Car located in Surrey

You can contact owner directly at:
richard.clarke2@btinternet.com

Hope this helps.

What sort of budget are you looking at? if you are cutting it fine there are a lot of dogs about in the £10-12k area but you can get lucky. However if you are looking at high £ teens why not look at a Lhd 993 for just into the £20k area. Scottster from this forum is selling his C2 for around £22k and its a whole lot of car for that money and is a far superior car to a 964 for similar money.
