Is anybody on here interested or collects autographs? My dad and I have quite a range, and I tend to not want to sell them, I nicked the poster signed by Pele and Bobby Charlton from his house so he couldn't sell it!!
But yesterday he gave me a Scottish £5 note with Jack Niclaus on it, signed by the man himself and demanded I stick it on ebay.
Does anybody have any idea what it would be worth?
ps: First person to say £5 wins a prize!

Why keep it? What use is it? You could buy a set of golf clubs with that money and and go out and become the next Nicklaus.

It would have to be a very cheap set of clubs!!
I've never sold my signed stuff, I was offered in the region of $750 for a programme I have signed from the Superbowl a few years ago, and turned it down. I really like it and my friends went to a lot of trouble to get it for me.

Whadya reckon? Is it more like £20 or a couple of hundred - We both said last night we'd rather have a holiday than an old Christmas card.
I would have thought at least a couple of hundred as it is signed by Princess Di. Stick it on Ebay with a ridiculous reserve and see what happens.....

How dare you! That was hand-written by Diana herself gawdblesser [doths cap]. Proper angel she was. One of a kind. Miss her every day. etc. etc. Hawk it mate... see what it goes for. There's bound to be bow'ers-and-scraper's willing to part with their hard-earned for it.

Sorry to put a dowsing on your aspirations here, but these "signed" signatures are done by a signing automat (using a fountain pen imitator) attatched to a computerised mailing list. They sign once on a file and then it's faithfully copied thousands of times..... Look at another from the same year, exact in every aspect....

But what is an autograph? - it's someone's signature for heaven's sake. Unless you're a massive fan of said person, where is the value? I'd much rather have 100quid than Jack Nicklaus' paw print.
The stamps are a different kettle of fish due to their historical significance and artistic qualities. I'd agree with keeping them....

Guess it is the same with the one we got from Maggie and Dennis early 1990's.
