Does anyone else get an itchy scalp under the skid lid sometimes ?

Seems to effect me from time to time, not always. I keep the helmet washed clean regularly (which is a faff as it doesn't have a removable liner) , and use sanitizer spray in the lid after each ride.

From what I've read online it could be bacteria or static, no one can seem to agree. As the helmet inners are man made fabrics, static could be true. Might be better if the were cotton lined instead.

Best treatment I've discovered so far is the stop and wet my hair with water when its bad.

Anyone got any cures, or suggestions ?

Bug getting through one of the vents and crawling about?

I’ve had that a few times and drives me wild.

Hopefully not sounding like a snob but if it doesn’t have a removable liner it’s probably a cheap lid.

Premium materials and design definitely helps with comfort.

It may be the sanitizer spray or combination of various stuff youve squirted in there causing a chemical reaction on your scalp.

I've only been using this since after the itching started.

I'm not a biker - just saw this in the "what's new" section - but I thought it was worth commenting as I suffer from psoriasis and anything at all on my head causes pretty much instant itching which gets progressively worse. I'm then stuck with it until I wash my hair, even if I remove what was causing the itching. I also have to keep my hair very short as the maximum amount of air possible to my scalp helps mitigate the problem. Maybe this is the issue.

Furry muff. I’m surprised any recent shoei doesn’t have a removable liner though.
