Selling irritations
Discussion
Selling my classic caravan, been of for a short period of time but I’m getting emails asking me ‘what’s the absolute least you will take for it?’ I reply asking them to come and have a look and if you like it we can haggle. I feel like it’s a waste of time and effort even replying tbh. I suppose it all goes with the territory.
It's one of the reasons I hate selling stuff, even giving it away elicits rudeness.
Chest of drawers on Facebook market place foc.
A few emails as you would expect, my reply, 1st come 1st served.
Lady from the village says she'll be here in 1/2 hr, good enough from me. Then one unpleasant mare from earlier in the day, says she'll be with me in an hr. I reply that I think it's gone, but if not I'll let her know.
Very curt rude reply 'don't bother I was on my way' (she didn't actually have the address at this point)
Village lady was good as gold and collected.

I prefer to get maximum life out of things and then give away, or accept a minimal return.Old stuff, notice in village shop, take to charity shop or leave outside with a ‘please take if you want it’ notice (most stuff goes).
Cars, run them down to end of life, just to the point where it runs and someone will take/part exchange.
Pair of my friends went off last week caravaning(made up word ), came back , that day put both Caravans on Facebook both sold within 30 hrs!
I couldn't believe it so I put my 20yrold Alfa Spider 2.0 TS on there , by 11pm I had 23 messages wanting it ...by 3pm next day Sold, Unbelievable ...now I am thinking I should asked for more but as it was he paid £100 over the asking price by transfer to hold & the full asking price..The price was £1100 more than I bought in 2017.
You should have no problem selling this crank, I had 1 best price person who asked to give him "rough"idea what price so I said what its listed....thankfully he gave up...It is usually awful selling but honestly myself & my friends had a pleasant time at the moment , Good Luck Crank

I had this with a car I was selling I replied with
“What is the most you will pay for it?”
Trying to sell a push bike on FB marketplace. It needs a couple of things fixed as mentioned in the ad, hence is pretty cheap for what it is.
One guy was going to come, never showed up.
One guy started with "Hello sir, how are you. Where are you from, I'm from Indonesia" etc...
Several other people asking if it's still available (in at least 4 languages so far as FB auto translates the advert), and then never respond when I reply to them.
I think it'll be going on the free items group later this week and if that doesn't work left down the road with the key in the lock.
