New to me bike day, 2018 model with 5,500 miles and two new tyres on her. Michelin 4’s I believe.

Did over 200 miles on her today. Initial thoughts:

It’s tiny compared to my old 1290 super adventure and more recent MT09 tracer. Heavy but fine once moving. Ultra comfy wide seat. Bit of a stretch to the bars but still okay. It gets a wriggle on when pushed. Effortless torquey power. Handles fine but requires a fair bit of input.

Looks better than my old gen 2 busas!

Pics ( yes, that is a superleggera my mates on)

Happy with acquisition!

Congrats on your new bike. Its identical to mine. Just dropped mine in for its 4000 mile service. I was going to swap out the exhaust but I actually quite like the stealth aspect but it's so quiet and turbine like you do need to keep an eye out for your speed 😉

Thanks for the kind words lads. Lordflathead- snap! Exactly my thoughts on the exhausts, ridiculously quiet and with plugs in and a decent helmet, all I can hear is the wind - pretty much zero engine and exhaust noise. You really don’t notice how quick you’re going so easily. I’m keeping it bog standard. It’s quick enough.
Thought of getting a quick shifter but the gearbox is so smooth that I’ll keep it all standard.
Looking forward to racking up some miles.

Rack miles it will smile

Regarding the box, very clunky when cold. In the winter I warm the engine up to temp before attempting to select 1st gear. If you do it from cold it sounds like someone dropped a grenade in the 'box wink

Thanks to the quiet exhausts I usually always warm the bike up to about 70 degrees before but appreciate the advice. Did another 150redfacedd miles today. No aches or pains and first time I’ve ridden for years and not suffered the dreaded white fingers and loss of feeling in the hands due to vibrations - it really is that smooth.

Black K1 - I know you must live really close to me in Suffolk and you shortlisted the big ZZR before opting for your H2. I just couldn’t stretch the budget but very
Happy with this one. We’ll have to autobahn the pair and compare notes!
