Finance / Best deals for £300 - 350 / month

Hi all,

I've never ventured into the world of car financing but a friend has asked me for some advice. So in turn I am turning to the wealth of knowledge here!

He is after a German brand 4 door car, something along the lines of a BMW 3 / 4 series.

Budget is £300 - 350 / month.

Not interested in owning the car at the end.

Is there a good time of year to search for deals, like when the car reg changes, as he can wait if needs be?
Any suggestions for deals currently out there?
Good places he should look other than directly on manufacturer sites?

Depends what he wants a personal loan for about 20k will be the cheapest option especially if he can get the advertised rates of 2.9%.

Apologies if this is a silly question but where does the personal loan aspect come into play? As in, buying a second hand car for 20k?

Exactly this using the personal loan to buy a car that’s the cheapest option dealer finance will be a considerably higher rate

The OP is asking about leasing.

You can get a 218i manual grand coupe for £302 with 1x 48 rental or the other decent one floating around is 1x 36 £338 for a Audi A6 sport TFSI both on 8k

The reg changing rarely has anything to do with it, more like if a facelift is due or if they just fancy discounting a model

Leaseloco seems to be the best place to look currently

What sort of mileage is your friend considering?

If your friend is after anything above the basic 8,000pa, then be prepared for significantly higher prices (or fit a mileage blocker and not worry about it).

The only advice I can give with leasing is be prepared to act fast and not be too fussy in spec. The best deals are on stock cars that have hung around for a few months.
