I have repaired pinholes before with lead solder, You have to ensure that all vapour is evacuated for obvious reasons. I am not advocating this by the way
Not sure if you have seen this thread,,

I have a single tank 200, the body is based on a S1 FHC. I failed a decade ago to remove the tank. I'm about to have another try. Did you get yours out eventually?

Colin I know that they are removeable without body off, just search on here for other petrol tank threads.

I have just removed the passenger side tank from my early FHC Tasmin.

A frame off, fuel pump/filter off, disconnect fill and link pipe then it comes out easy enough, I didn't have to remove the suspension.

Funny, I recently had the same issue.

Drivers side had a leak where the pipe joins the tank.

They are soldered joints.

It's worth replacing the hoses while you are there.

It can be be without a body lift but lifting the body a bit really makes it a lot easier.

Mine was a tough job, make sure the wheel has clearance with the tank with wheel loaded and in the air..
and don't loose the little brass bolt that holds in the fuel sender wire (I did and had to order every size threaded bolt until I found the right one..)
