Car for under £10,000

Hi guys, so as most of you know after October there’s the ULEZ zone is going to expand around London, where you have to pay a charge for diesel cars that’s not euro 4 I think and most old petrol cars. Currently my dad has a 2004 BMW 320d Sport and he’s thinking about buying a petrol car after October for under £10k. He’s after a BMW or an Audi made after 2007. Can you guys recommend a car that’s got good fuel economy but also has good performance. Thanks.

It's a bit older, but he could buy my manual E90 BMW 330i for less than half that budget!

Euro 4 petrol so ULEZ compliant, reasonably quick and over 30 mpg isn't a problem.
