Body work repairs - Help!!

Hello everyone.

HELP!!!!

I had someone reverse into my Chimaera yesterday, and I`m now deeply depressed.:weeping:

She broke it good and proper, pushing my car forward a foot, with the handbrake on and in 1st gear!
It now needs a new boot, and rear end!

I don`t know where to take it to get a good repair done.
Can anyone help me? I`m in the essex area, but I do not mind where it goes in the contry, provided the repair is done very well.

If its an insurance job, I'd just go to the nearest dealer and let them sort it. They might even give you a nice courtesy car

Hilton Coachworks at Stanstead, they do all TVR centres bodywork, very good iam told.

Hopefully she will be back to new and on the road in no time.

My insurance company have been very good (so far) I have been givena porsche as a hire car, and it is up to me where I get it repaired. I will call those recommended on here and see where I end up getting it done.

Sorry to hear of your woes, i don't know what i would do if that happened to me.
I know an expert body putter back togetherer, He does lots of work for Hilton coach works, his nickname on here is 'Plasticman' and goes by the name of Dave (i think)

Whoever you go to, they may be able to do you a deal on a light conversion if you are interested as the insurance will be paying for the repray!

Hi Adam, sorry to hear your news. I can recommend the Fullbridge Resoration Co in Maldon (01621 852320). They work on a lot of exotica including TVRs, and they did a fantastic job of my 400SE when I received a rear end shunt.

This is the recommended repairer from my insurance company!

Not heard of them I'm afraid.
My insurance company (before I used Steves services) told me I had to take it to their approved repairer, who on phoning stated they wouldn't touch fibreglass - may be worth phoning them first to see if this is the case with them.
Personally for my P&J I'd prefer to use a bodyshop that specialises in fibreglass repairs and TVRs especially. Hence the reason I used Hiltons.

Who are you insured with? They sound reasonable - we had to fight for months to get a like for like car in a no fault accident.

I`m with Sunninghill brokers. The insurance company is a company called Chaucer.
So far they have been great, couldn`t ask for anything better really.
