Anyone here with a NAD M10? I'm thinking of getting one and would be interested in views....
Currently I have a Node 2i going into KEF LSX's - which is a decent minimalist system. Gathering dust in the house are some rather lovely Ruark Prologue speakers and various pre and power amplification combinations.
I don't want to use my mono block amps and pre amp (too much gear) but would like to use my Ruarks. So I am thinking of setting aside the Node and KEF's and buying an M10.
The NAD is attractive because it has the BlueOS and I use Amazon HD.

It has 20/25w more power per channel. Which may be enough for your Ruarks.
The NAD has more power? Yes, I've read 100w Vs the Node at 60w.I am more tempted by the M10 as I already have a Node 2i and quite fancy the shiny new thing. But it sounds, from the articles I'm reading, that the Node is probably better value - similar sound etc. Although the NAD has Dirac room correction.
Quite a tough choice between the two.

There's a new Powernode that was recently released to replace the 2i,but it's just called 'Powernode' - 80w output and some practical/functional improvements (NAD and Bluesound are owned by the same company I believe?)

I bought the NAD 658 last year, also with room correction. In the end I turned it off, I prefer the sound in my room without it
I have bought the M10 and it's all set up. I'm struggling with Dirac - it's 50% quieter with it turned on. I think I need to play with the Dirac readings a bit more - not sure. There is one thing stopping me going for something like this - longevity.
Right now, I've got a system based on the old Squeezeserver LMS platform. It's open, I can deploy PIs as players or servers, I can even fix the code if I need to. My oldest Squeeze player is 18 years old, still works fine, and LMS is being updated to run on modern tin.
An M10 is an attractive beast. But what will happen if/when NAD bin Blusound in 3 years time because it has lost the battle in some Betamax/VHS discussion. OK, the amp will still work, but the app won't work for long after that, and at that point, your 1.5 grand toy goes in the bin.

Bluesound and NAD are the same company, so I doubt they will 'bin' the tech.
Ok - no longer develop and support it because the cost doesn't warrant it, and someone else has come up with something better which is cheaper to buy in. NDA said:
I don't spend my time worrying about 'what ifs' far into the future. NAD and Bluesound are investing a great deal into their joint technologies and in the highly unlikely event that in 36 months they have some kind of falling out, I suspect the amp and it's streaming capability will continue for a while after that. Much like the Squeezebox which was discontinued many years ago.
If I'm going to invest proper money into an ecosystem, then I do worry about such things. As soon as you bolt computers into something, you have to worry about unplanned obsolescence. All this modern streaming tech requires constant updating - both in terms of services and the apps required to drive it. As soon as those stop, the clock is ticking - all it takes is one update from Apple and your UI has gone. There's no point in worrying about this with a £100 player, but as soon as you're paying several thousand for a few components, it becomes material.LMS is actually a really good example of how to do it right. The original player was Open Source, as was the server. Originally you ran the server on a Linux desktop, but now you can run it on pretty much anything because there is an army of devs out there recompiling it for new architectures and fixing features that break. There is a small ecosystem of apps to drive it, ranging from clunky browsers acting on the server directly, to nice apps in IOS that actually work on an iPad.
