MotoGP - Assen
Discussion
Time for the next round....
Will MM be up there, podium maybe? I'm not so sure, he needs 2 weeks to recover and Assen is straight after and there's a lot of changes of direction, something that's going to hurt his arm/shoulder.
Morbidelli out due to his ongoing knee injury - I wonder if he's going to have an op over the summer break following Assen, by pulling out it gives him another week I guess, or is it that bad?
Will Cal be back to take his ride? I'm not so sure, Covid restrictions will surely play a part, plus I suspect the team given they're not in any title hunt will look to preserve an engine (maybe).
I think the weather isn't looking great also, could play into Jack's hands (h had his first win at Assen let's not forget).
And I've not even mentioned Moto2 or Moto3.

I expect Marc to win the race and the championship. That win will have done more for his recovery than anything else, yes the circuit favoured his injury, yes it is a track he is god like on but still I think he is back. (brave prediction!)
Willing to put some £££ on that one?Freakuk said:

I bet Van De Mark could have been on Morbidelli's bike if he was still at Yamaha!

VR46 finally confirms Ducati deal is done for 3 years
Vale going to hang on for at least another season on a Ducati again, or just wishful thinking from the Prince:"It would be great for me that Valentino Rossi can compete in the next few years as a pilot of our Aramco Racing Team VR46 together with his brother Luca Marini who already competes this year with the sponsorship of our brands"

Toprak's problem is his manager a certain Kenan Sofuoğlu, I'm sure they discussed this a few rounds ago on BT Sport, Kenan has managed to get huge $$$ sponsorship for Toprak from Red Bull in Turkey, he's probably getting paid more than 1/2 of the MotoGP grid and certainly more than JR65 in WSBK.
If that's the case he cannot jump ship to Yamaha (Monster) and probably retain the same $$$ package.

Many riders do, I'm looking forwards to seeing Pecco in action as I feel he has underdelivered the past few rounds and has learned a lot from it, Brad Binder will definitely want to get in front of Oliviera again, Vinales who knows & Nakagami will be looking for a good result at a track he has often gone well at.

Vinales is already saying he's just going to copy quattarao even though he knows its not going to work.Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
