Which VAG estate?

Considering next car. Runners are
2016-17 Passat R Line
2016-A6 Avant Black Edition
2017-Skoda Superb Sportline
Has to be diesel, minimum 150hp, not too fussed on which transmission. Going to be towing with it. 12-15k a year. Preferably a sunroof and heated seats.
I'm planning to test drive them and that will ultimately make my decision but just interest to hear of anyone who has owned one and could point out any key things to consider.

I've owned and/ or driven (colleagues company cars) versions of all 3.
Buying myself, my heart would rank them A6, Passat, Superb, but from driving and vfm my head would rank them the other way round.
The 150bhp models will all do the job, if you're not towing anything too hefty but I'd go for a higher output one if pos. My Passat 2.0tdi 150bhp definitely wasn't punchy, but did okay towing down to Italy etc.

I'm loving my superb. I think it looks great, it's massive inside, rear legroom is unbelievable and if you can find a 280bhp one it's well worth it (even though it's petrol still pushing 36mpg in eco mode) but the other engines are all good too. The only bad thing about it is the name.
A6 Black Edition 190 for me the better NVH & the nicer interior just edge it for me, the pick if you can find one is a BiTDI Passat in estate form:

Superb is A6 size for Passat money but you might be hard pressed to find one with a sunroof
All passat r line had a panoramic roof as standard. And the most comfy seats I’ve ever sat it. Not been in a superb but would most likely take one over a Passat if I could find the one with the right options

Yeah Superb with Pan roof is a rare beast in that vintage. The Sportline plus seems to have incorporated that option on later models. Is the Superb & A6 the same size and Passat smaller? I've only got little kids but the boot is important, particularly a wide open space without suspension getting in the way.

I think from memory on another thread ages ago that the rear seats in the Superb are further back and over the arches more?
Reduces the width but gets the legroom
The superb has nearly 10cm extra shoulder room in the rear than the A6, plus its got a proper middle seat. The Superb and the Mondeo are the only estate cars that could comfortably carry 5 adults because they have a near bench seat in the rear rather than 2 big seats and an fold up arm rest in the middle. It's the reason I bought one having 3 growing kids. I don't know how skoda made it so big inside but we tried them all, 5 series, e class, a6 etc and the SKODA and the Mondeo were the only ones I want to drive 5 people to the south of France in. Reduces the width but gets the legroom
