Finally did the drive with a mate through some Yorkshire roads, some breathtaking scenery in places, some dodgy roads/tracks best avoided, plus a couple of roads that made me twitch but enjoyable all the same

Yorkshire is a big old placebiggrin

Looks like the Dales to me ... Kirkby Stephen to Hawes or up near Buttertubs?

Big old place indeed…..stayed at Skipton, and drove near Bolton bridge, askrigg, kettlewell, muker, buttertubs and prob passed a few other places en route.

Those pics were taken en route to muker

Fantastic roads, aren't they?

First place I went when I got my M4 was exactly where you were. I'm lucky enough to live in Yorkshire but it's still an hour to get up there for me.

Awesome, I thought I recognised the 'terrain' :-)

Those roads can be fairly hairy at speed as they're not the smoothest. Generally pretty quiet though ... we cycle up there from York, amazing on a good day, not so much in the depths of winter. smile
