As more people watch these excellent presentations it will be interesting to see if it attracts Festival of speed enthusiasts to actual hill climb meetings. The production is excellent and continually improving, it is a shame that the atmosphere around the paddock which is a unique feature of hill climbs and sprints is difficult to convey.
The camera placements allow some views not normally possible to the public. The angle from top of karosell to ashes at Gurston was particularly interesting.

Prescott today and it’s going to be mega, I’d be fairly confident the hill record will go at some point on the day…

At the start of the day the hill record was held by Sean Gould with a 35.41….
Menzies does a 35.12 in the second class run, but only a 35.54 in the first run off behind Alex Summers who did a 35.40, 0.01s under the old record time! Then In the second run off Menzies does a 34.65… the first ever run under 35s and so there is 0.75 seconds between the two fastest ever runs at Prescott which is a huge amount of time. The video is on YouTube, fast forward to 3:36.00 for the second run off.

Shelsley Walsh Enclosed Car record broken - the enclosed car record has gone to 6R4.com and Ian Rowlance in the Sports Libre 6R4 with a time of 27.89 seconds.
I didn't think Endean's time would be beaten yet even though there have been plenty in the 28s over recent years, but the Dr really pulled it out the bag with his last run. If you look at the run, it was through the Esses that he really made up the time, his finish line speed was pretty much the same . Really pleased for him and the ex-Rasmushagen Metro.Gassing Station | UK Club Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
