Tonight's episode, the captured A-Team were dropped into the Borneo jungle, by the US military in exchange for their release, to rescue an american General dude. Camouflage involves Face wearing a heavy looking leather jacket and BA wearing half a ton of gold. Then after a cunning plan involving bed springs and some carelessly placed drums of gasoline (isn't there always?) gets them out of trouble, they escape in the base commander's helicopter. Which happens to have a US registration number.

Classic, I love it!

And I bet they discharged enough live rounds to wipe out half of civilisation, created explosions to embarass the designers of the A bomb, and not a hair was harmed on a living soul.

Imagine the kind of damage they could do if they were actually good shots... it would be like the overly-fake Schwarzeneggar movie "Commando".

Oooooh yes....

How many times did Colonel Decker and his crack unit capture the A-Team, and then lock them in a fully equipped workshop whilst they waited for the army transport to arrive?!

Superb!

Reminds me of the old viz top tips. Along the lines of "Master criminals: never leave the A-Team alone in a shed full of useful tools and gas lines"

Had a really shte day at work Wednesday because I was so tired from watching the A-Team the night (more like early morning) before

Just about to go to bed and flicked the channel over and it was just starting, I thought I'll just watch to the end of the theme tune... then the first break... then the 2nd break... and that was it

Then in the morning I got a boocking from the girlfriend for comming to bed "too late when we have work the next day", then laughed at when I told her the reason why

Was classic TV though

Classic TV.

More firepower unleashed in each episode than the entire US 1st infantry division used to capture Baghdad.

Every plot involving the transportation of a grouchy, bad tempered, 300lb madalion wearing gorrila with a Mohican and a fear of flying.

And the obligatory manufacture of a fully armoured fighting vehicle equipped with rocket launcher, flame thrower, laser designation & targeting system, GPS navigation (with route finder), hellfire missiles, an MP3 player and a top speed to humble anything you'd find down the local drag strip, from a barn full of nothing but hay bails, corrugated plastic and a thirty eight year old John Deer 'plough master', all in the space of 20 minutes and while under seige from the badies and Col Decker and his band of crack, half wit, couldn't hit the side of a bus - if they were sat on it - soldiers.

God I love the A-Team.

Bugger! I missed that. The A team was my favourite TV programme as a kid, along with the Dukes of Hazzard.

I have some mates who had an old Mk1 Transit, blacked out, set of slotmags, 3L engine, "The J Team" you know the score, Hannibal Spliff, BA Moroccan, etc, etc.

I think its funny that of all the show we make in America, these are the ones that get exported.

Quality, educational television at its best.

The only British shows we got over here when I was a kid were Monty Python, Benny Hill, Faulty Towers, and that old one set in a department store (can't remember the name). Oh, and MTV broadcast "The young ones" in the 80's, I loved that show.

Saturday nights in the late 70's were the best. Love boat at 8, Fantasy Island at 9, Old Three Stooges at 10, Monty Python at 11, and Saturday Night Live at 11:30.

Yes but Simpsons and South Park are the best exports by far. The A-Team and Airwolf and the like are great because they're so bad.

I thought there were more than that (Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy, or at least the Hollywood remake) but how about all the British shows that have been "converted" before being shipped over there.. again, all the awful ones. Such as Big Brother, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Pop Idol (American Idol after renaming) etc, even The Office (anyone remember what it's called over there?) and countless others, probably on obscure channels... I'm sure someone here knows more on the list. I'm suprised you haven't got Only Fools and Horses though, buy it on DVD immediately!

Well, we are getting the exports now, I was referring to the early 80's when I was a kid. Its when the A Team was on TV over here.
