Scarecrow Insurance

Bit of a strange one this...

My mum has a bronze scarecrow worth 20k in her garden. She recently was using a local bespoke insurance company to insure it (through the house insurance), but this year’s premium is OTT.

I’ve tried the to get it covered through the usual suspects (on house insurance) but to no avail.

Would it be better to insure the SC separately and does anyone know where i can go for the insurance?

Im personally not keen on the SC..She bought one of eight made, Damon Hill has one, so does the head of Iceland supermarkets. website below

I like the pieces on that site greatly. The missus has just had a look and also gives it the thumbs up. We might be tempted. WOnder how much the amazing flocks of birds are? Must be 50k plus.

My folks had a metal statue. That was nicked, accessed from a neighbouring garden.

Splendid, just seen your profile. Which syndicate no. are you with? I briefly worked there years 10 ago at a members' agent, and more currently I know the CFO of the Corporation. I do miss wandering around the place. I was just so arcane, with people getting their news by reading newspapers stuck onto notice boards, and a bloke on a tannoy telling people they had messages in a range of often daft voices. And you hardly have to go far to the Corney & Barrow.
