That's a nice suit..
but it must be a bitch getting a 68 extra fat and a twelve dwarf!!

I'd like to kick his ass just once...
you can't kick that high

I'm going, I'm going, I've got the metal to the pedal and the thing to the floor!

There's no way, no way, you came from my loins and when we get home I'm slappin your momma.

Hey bandit.. me and Fred's got a question
well what's your question son
How come we doin this, they said it couldn't be done.
well that's the reason son
That's good with Fred, we're clear.

In case it's in any doubt, I absolutely love this film and can even sing the theme tune (only when inebriated obviously!!)

I'd avoid the third one if I were you - it's just not the same without Burt

The car, the truck, and Burt were good ..... but Jackie Gleason was outstanding. His lines in the first couple of films are superb. I also love the whole blood pressure monitor / chanting thing he's got going on in S&TB2 - "this was designed by a couple of Tibetan monks ...... they is living in Newark now."

Hmmm, think I'll have to watch the original tonight.

(Essentially, Cannonball Run is Top)

Yep, The Cannonball Run just eclipses Smokey and the Bandit as my fave film ever. Hooper was good as well mind, just not as funny.. :

As for the Cannonball... :

"Do you wanna talk, or do you wanna bet...?"

"God is our co pilot...? Remember our car...? Two seats. Where's he gonna sit...? Where...?"

"Listen to me el-porko, we're not in the Indianapolis 500...!"

"That's a no no father, haven't you heard...? They haven't allowed that for nearly two thousand years..."

In reference to Smokey and the Bandit when JJ and Victor are deciding on a car to use in the Cannonball : "Could get a black Trans Am... Naaah, that's been done"

"Boy ain't he somethin...?" "Are you kidding, that is the dumbest thing I've seen since that dimwit tried to jump the Grand Canyon...!"

"He stilonarrasss...! Adonthi, adonthi, thi, think he's a-bluffin neither..."

"I can't see shit can you...?" "No problem son, no problem...!"

"Hey the ohhnly thing haahden haad, haaadent it in the pool did was make it purdy. It ain't runnin worth a shit...! Aanhn it's wet...!"

etc etc ad infinitum...!
