The AP and UPI newswires have reported that the French Government has announced that it has raised its terror alert level from 'Run' to 'Hide'.
The only two higher levels in France are 'Surrender' and 'Collaborate'.
The rise was precipitated by a recent fire which destroyed France's White Flag factory, effectively disabling their military.

Edited to add I suppose I should back that comment up with a reason to why I disagree but I can't think of one! Still think its funny though

It nevers fails to shock me the ignorance of Americans regarding WW1, Their role was marginal at best,not reaching the front till 1918. A token gesture would be closer to the truth. (And less of an insult to the millions of Allied troops who paid the ultimate price for victory)

when I was working on the TGV upgrades in N france in the 80s/90s
the military (sic) showed up one day, with an additional plan to include in a Huuuuuggge railway bridge crossing a road/river near Lille,
a compartment to house a great pack of explosive for blowing the whole thing to pieces in the event of
war.
