Thinking of buying petrol (63 reg) Peugoet 2008 1.6 VTI 120bhp, Torque118lbs/ft for £6,250, is it reliable and will this be any good for a family of 4 adults and a child? Also whats the best petrol small SUV's for a family of 5 for £6/7000?

I’d have thought RAV4, Honda CRV, maybe even Skoda Yeti.

Do you regularly carry four adults and a child? And is the child still in a car seat?

I would say most small SUVs like the 2008 would struggle with three people in the back especially if you have a car seat. Also small SUVs seem to be a more recent thing so a lot of them would be out of budget. I would look at the mid sized models that ZX listed above. Or if you want the space and are prepared to sacrifice the high driving position a family hatch (focus size) offers better value for money.
