Engine option?

...and maybe the small issue of toasting anyone within 500 feet to the rear if you flip on the afterburners... ;-)

But jets take so long to accelerate to top-speed, even WITH afterburners, that I don't see the point for the street or even a road-circuit, more like the salt-flats; it's unique though.

Now, if you could put collapsible wings on it (like, motors will extend them from the under-tray area or from the engine-bay as you prepare for take-off)... THAT would be an interesting way of avoiding a ticket if no other traffic is around and you see your local officer parked beside the road and he pulls-out as soon as you speed by at an illegal speed and you take up a few lanes of traffic with your extended wings before he even gets within a half-mile of you and then you land a few miles away, on another road devoid of cop-cars... I'm sure you can even get an FAA serial-number to make the flight legal, at least here in The States. I just wonder how long the jet-fuel would last with a 2000-lb. car and where you'd put it . ;-) Eh, we can dream. :-)
