My cousin had one years ago. I think they look brilliant but that is all I know! Please keep us updated with yours.

Had a silver GPX and a black GPvR

Great cars but rot like bds. I’d buy another v6 in a heartbeat but there are almost none left.
They’ve all fallen to pieces.

The ftooc used to be a great club. We used to do tunnel runs round London - 20 odd FTOs driving round town. Had an HKS super-Drager on my GPX, sounded great in a tunnel.

Best of luck with it - but check the chassis for decay. It will be there somewhere.

I do quite like the FTO. I haven't seen one for years, I'm glad there are still some about.

I always wanted one as a kid in the 90’s, saw a few and knew they weren’t sold here and then they appeared in Gran Turismo and that was that.

I’d still love a pre facelift GPX probably exactly like the above.

Can’t be many left now?

Yes I owned one of these back in the day. What a lovely car. Smooth reliable 2.0 V6. Never missed a beat, easy to drive, comfortable, quick, great auto box. Unfortunately it was written off when the car park at the railway station was flooded when the river burst its banks. Just watch for rust of course.

My lasting impression was that the rear was very light and locking the rear wheels under moderate braking was a common occurrence. That's all I can remember from driving my brother's GPX (20 years ago?).

I agree back in the day they were great, we had one of the very first cars to be imported, a chap we knew dealt with what were called grey imports then.
My wife drove it for about 8 years and never any problems. Our local MOT station where the chap who ran it couldn't get over the quality of components underneath the car. I loved driving it too, futuristic looking car for the time.

Bought one at breaker money and surprise surprise it was too rough to save. Shame, as it was cool and quirky, as useable as a GT86 (yes I know it's FWD smile )

I broke it, but with some regret as it drove fine, and the cams and bores of the V6 at 150,000kms were perfect.

It feels alive compared to modern cars I've driven really stands out in a car park to all the blobs. And to think this was pretty average looking for a long time. Sounds great the induction noise even like the old dash

Hopefully these should go up in value I think they deserve to as relatively easy to work with compared to other jap sporty cars of the era

Friend of mine owned one and I was lucky enough to have a drive on occasion. Liked it a lot. Don’t see many about then or now. Enjoy.

I got one back in 02 or 03, can't remember which. I had so little knowledge about cars back then, I paid 6k for it, then £2200 per year insurance. Turned out it was a GS with the 1.8 engine with a 4 speed tiptronic box. Fitted 18s to it. Was so slow but damn I had some fun in that car. Stuffed it into a roundabout when it went straight on whilst I tried to turn, ripping the alloy off. Was known as the FTSlow to my friends at the time, beaten by a Saxo Furio in a 1/4 mile drag race.
