Need some new tyres..any opinions?

bridgestone re720's on mine. seem to have great grip in the wet and dry. try micheldeavor(sp?) got them from them about two years ago at a very good price, think it was about 60 a tyre and 20 delivery. hardly any wear on them to this date. this was after doing a 180 in the wet after turning left at traffic lights on pirelli tyres

RE 720's for sure- Great in wet and dry and seem to wear extremely well.Should be able to get them for c.£70/corner.

Not yet. I'm going for round ones this time!

£129.15p for a pair (inc fitting, balance & VAT).

Getting a set of RE720s (205/60 R15 91V) fitted tomorrow to replace the ORIGINAL RE71 tyres on the car (yes the manufacturer date is 1989!)

Local tyre company is supplying them for £55+vat fitted + £4 for alloy balancing.

Does anyone know whay the "91" means before the V on the tyre spec? I have seen some RE720s advertised with "88" and "90" spec ?

They must be very wooden by now.
The new rubber (fitted this lunchtime) makes quite a difference from the "threepenny bits" they replaced.

It's the Load index.

88 = 560 kg
90 = 600 kg

Sorry to hi-jack this thread but I was wondering if anyone had tried 225's on the OZ 8's.. Juat doing a few sums and I reckon (if my maths is upto scratch) that 225 55 15 tyres would only make a 0.25% (approx) difference to circumference of tyre whilst giving that extra 20mm to the tyre footprint width. Question is are 225's too wide for the OZ 8 wheel?
Sorry again just been sat here thinking and decided it was worth asking.

Anyone tried it? The standard wheels & tyres can be a marginal fit (tyre scrapes inner wing).

Hmmmmm had i known about those too handy links before i wouldnt have sat down with the calculator for half an hour but at least they prove my workings to be correct .

Mine had 225 60 15 on the back when I bought it, never tried them on the front may have rubbed the wheel arch.
