You may think you just get unusually cold fingers, as i did for years, but you may also have what i do. This annoying 'white finger' problem which can happen even in May, as it has for me this month.
I have really good warm gloves and have forfeited lightness and nimbleness nowadays in my gloves for something warmer but still get this annoying issue.
Does anyone else suffer from cold hands and fingers especially even with very good gloves? I'm 44 and thought this would be something dad would get rather than me. His hands are fine!

Yeah I do, heated grips are a must below 10 Celsius for me. I'm only 25, had it for as long as I remember.

Ah right. I have tried to avoid heated grips as i find them a bit tatty, but it seems it's the only way now.

I thought that too (expected them to be really bulky) but the Oxford ones I have actually seem decent quality, couldn't live without them now. I couldn't be arsed with heated gloves as I like thin gloves for better feel so hot grips were the only option.

Yes me too - no gloves work when riding in winter I need heat and heated grips don't work for finger tips

My daughters have similar problems too so it's nothing to do with age

I've had this all of my life, try heated gloves. Heated grips do nothing for me but the gloves work wonders.

Yes same, but currently only really in my big toes. So not much I can do about that from a biking point of view. My fingers get it but only when I'm working outside in sub zero temperatures at the moment but will no doubt get worse.

My Dad has it bad in his fingers and even takes a flask of boiling water in a rucksack on colder rides to dip his fingers in when we stop!

Have you got them on your new speed? The troika are very good and you won’t even know they’re there.

Mine has been getting worse recently. I find it happens most when my hands are inactive. If I go for a 30 min ride on my road bike I end up with 2 fingers on my right hand turning white, a longer ride and this happens on the left hand too. Yet a 4hr offroading trip on Sunday wearing soft gloves had my hands nice and toasty

It's horrible to have it really is. I assumed it would be an age related thing but apparently not.
Heated grips will be happening on the bikes, i imagine and i will take a look today at what's available and what looks neatest. (Yes i am vain about how my bikes look!)

Have you tried wind deflectors / hand guards on your bike.

They might look odd depending on what kind of bike you have but will do wonders in keeping off the wind chill.

They’re not expensive so worth a shot.

Make sure your core is well insulated and very warm! If your body starts to get cold, it will start restricting blood flow to your extremities to keep the warmth around your organs, hence can make cold fingers much worse.

I suffer with cold hands too, but full thermals as well as heated grips and good gloves keep it at bay

I've only started getting this recently, and only intermittently (just the odd finger turning white now and again) - definitely worse if I'm wearing glove liners that cause pressure on the fingertips. Interesting about core temperature as well, makes total sense.

Sounds silly but make sure you're not gripping the bars too tightly and it can also help to move your fingers around every few mins or so while you're riding.

BMW? When I bought a new S1000RR it came with very good 3 stage heated grips. I thought they were pointless, as I only ride in the summer. But after an hour or so, when sometimes my hands could start aching, They really helped.

Maybe a bit random, but worth getting your Vitamin D levels checked.

Reynauds is often an indicator of low levels, though, as in my family's case, my Mother's side of the family carried the gene, though it was the girls who seemed worst affected.

Is it just temperature or also vibration?

Wondered if thicker grips may help?
