Hi all,

I am picking up a lovely Nissan 350z next Saturday. The car has had a lot of work done in the past, there is also a harness bar in the back. I will just remove the bar but will be looking for less slidy sports styled seats. Looking online I can see quite a few cheap new bucket seats but I dont want to get anything uncomfortable or dangerous.

What do you guys suggest for seats?
Are there any stock seats from other cars I can look at sourcing? Preferable something that can recline. I have seen the Nismo Nissan Juke seats up for silly money.

Cheers,

Craig

BUMP.

Focus RS shell seats are an option I have seen but they would need reupholstered.

Personally I found the stock fabric seats adequately secure for road driving, the leather ones did feel quite slidey though.

I have the leather seats in my Z, don't seem to have any issues but that might be down to my fat ass rather than the seat being any good.

I'm thin and they hold me in place on the road. If you're getting a racing seat you might as well make use of the harness bar.

Well I have owned the 350z for around 2 weeks and covered 1k miles in it and the seats have been fine. No issue with grip in corners though I usually keep my left foot on the dead pedal. I cannot find a good positon that gives me upper body support that is my only gripe.

I think I will keep the stock GT seats until I can find a lighter alternative.
