Non resident selling a car ANTs

Has anyone sold a car without having an ANTS account.
Friend is struggling to transfer ownership of of car to new buyer, situation is that sale of chalet has gone through ok but transfer of vehicle is proving difficult as he is not resident.
Do you have to have a code from the web site? I’ve sold cars in the past but not under the new system.
This will be relevant to me some day as I have 3 cars parked up at my summer home which I will have to sell at some point.
When I pay my taxes, fonciere and habitation I have to log on to the etrangers section of the payment site. Is there a similar section on ANTS or is is residents only?

A local garage could do the transaction for them or a friend with an ANTS account could do it. There are also some people doing it for a fee that can be found on facebook.

I used a company called Cartaplac when importing my Discovery - they were very good and I think it cost about 40€ for the service ( imports are more expensive, I think a straightforward change of owner is about 27€) but I saved 15€ on the price of a set of plates which they make up for you. Very quick too.....

Thanks for the replies, I had seen Carteplac on another post will suggest that they contact them but seem to be in the north so nothing local to Val d’Isere.
