Pie and Piston - Please read and note.

Dear all - there has, of late been a change in the type of threads posted as part of the general gossiping in Pie and Piston. Whilst P+P is meant to be an open forum for debating non-motoring matters (hence the reason it was spilt from General Gassing), it was never intended as an internet chatroom - there are much more capable and appropriate sites for that sort of stuff, such as MSN Messenger and the like.

There have been a number of complaints and comments e-mailed to Ted and the moderators about some of the threads on P+P, and the useless nonsense being posted by a number of regular contributors.

Pistonheads is open to all, including young and old, and it's very vivacity is down to the variety of people who post, and their many different attitudes and opinions. That is why PH and P+P in particular are so popular.

However it is primarily a motoring website, and some of the threads are pure, unadulterated drivel, of no interest except to a few people who perpetuate them but do not take them forward as meaningful discussion. It appears that many people believe that this type of posting is spoiling Pistonheads and is obscuring the lively, intelligent and humourous threads in a cloud of no-brain rubbish.

Can contributors please use PH appropriately - if you want to have a giggle with your mates, flirt, drool or otherwise cyber-leer, please use Messenger, Yahoo or whatever takes your fancy. Please do not be offended if threads are closed at the discretion of the Ted and/or moderators.
