Japanese Auto Trader equivalent, Goo-Net etc.

Where else should I be looking for cars from Japanese dealers? Which sites do you recommend? It's a BMW I'm after but you fine folk in here seem the best people to ask.

Carsensor also has a lot of cars on. You'll need your browser to translate the Japanese, but that shouldn't be a problem.

Goonet were very good when I bought my Century. After my initial enquiry communication was via WhatsApp with a dedicated person chasing my purchase. The whole purchase and export was seamless right up to arrival at the UK port and they kept me fully informed, any queries I had were responded to quickly. Once in the UK I took over and completed the import/registration stuff, which was a doddle. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

That's good to know, because a while ago they had a listing of a virtually unused Subaru SVX for sale and I was tempted.

Anyone used them recently? There's surprisingly little about on the net. Trustpilot has 4 reviews, 3 of them negative.

I've seen one car supplied through GooNet, a GT86 Sprinter. An absolute basket, completely covered up as a genuine car. Obviously this is down to the vendor, who then disappeared once the state of it came to light.

Definitely buyer beware.

I've seen on some adverts that the photos don't relate to the car in questions. You'd hope there's an innocent explanation but it does make you wonder.

I don't know if you've done much importing but if not my advice would be to use a trusted agent here and get them to import what you want. It will cost you more but you have the security of getting what you want from the auctions, plus things like shipping are a major problem at the moment and they can assist better than a single private import which will be last in the queue.
