Paper models?? Hold my beer!!

I took my wife to an arts and crafts exhibition when on holiday. I was quite surprised at the level of skills of some. There were those who were absolutely brilliant at making money out of the public by selling rubbish, but there were also those who were artists in various mediums.
There was a 'paper-folder' who made flowers and other plants out of paper and card. To say they were realistic did them a disservice as they were indisdinguishable from the real thing, apart from seeming too perfect.
This bloke - thanks for the link - is in the same league. Impressive.
There was a chap who made dioramas (I think that's what they are called: landscapes with buildings, trees etc. in glass cases) out of card, paper and such, with balsa and thin ply support. He was chatting to a model train enthusiast who wanted them for a railway layout. He said they were more realistic than any he could build or buy. He was creating one as he was talking.
It's sculpture.
When I saw them being made, I got the same urge as most, I suppose; I must have a go. But I knew I'd be like the tat-sellers. It was a great four hours or so.

I have not tried any of these models, but have printed one out as a PHSS present.
I think it is written in the instructions, basic 80g/m² or 100g/m² office paper IIRC.
A cutting mat, really good modelling knives/scalpels, metal rulers and good paper glue is needed,
and LOTS of time, patience and a steady hand.
