EV home charger recommendations Glasgow
Discussion
I'm waiting on a BP Pulse, tethered installation. It's a fixed price of £699 which includes the UK OLEV grant of £350. But I have also got the Scottish grant of £300 which is paid to me after installation. (Scottish grant approval MUST be applied for BEFORE installation) That grant reduced to £250 after April 5th.
£699 fixed price is dependant on the distance between fuse box and wall installation being 15 metres or less, there's a pro rata £'s per metre over that.
I was quoted over a £100 more by an independent Glasgow electrician.

NOT Brite Technical Services - rushed my install, didn't set up the charger (basically didn't read the install instructions) - tried to blame the car - left me to contact the manufacturer and figure out what they had done wrong, took 2 further visits for them to get it right. They messed up the paperwork at every turn, quotes wrong, instructions for grants wrong etc. Then discovered they had overcharged by about £200 for equipment they hadn't installed, when challenged they made and excuse that they hadn't charged for a ground spike (which was in the original quote) so didn't refund all I was due - I gave up on the difference of over £100.

You have electricity in Scotland now?
Only just - had to upgrade my 60A fuse to 100A for EV charger, and get meter tails upgraded too. Separate visits from supplier and DNO, only takes a few minutes each but cost another £250 on top of the EV meter installation. You have electricity in Scotland now?
