Been on the hunt for a C6 for a while now and very few seem to come to market. When they do, prices seem to be all over the place!

Covid travel restrictions saw a deal fall apart last summer on a nice black C6 at about £18k. Since then, everything seems to now be mid 20s yet with no real sense. By contrast, there is a low owner, 15k miles beautiful red convertible for sale at £25k which seems decent value when other higher mileage autos are priced similarly. Likewise a beautiful Z06 was priced at only £32k last weekend and sold swiftly.

Beginning to think I will have to look at importing one from the USA or Middle East. Not too fussy on exterior colour as generally like the black, red and white cars. Manual is a must though.

The low mileage red car you mention was originally owned by chairman of NCRS, Trevor Rogers - he had it a number of years but didn't do that many miles - he would have looked after this. Not the preferred LS3 engine but low mileage as you say....

The exchange rate is good for us Brits at present $1.39 to £1, but US C6 prices have risen too. For reference it was about $1.30 when I bought mine at the end of 2017. smile

Tell me about it Dave! Cheapest ones are still more than what you paid and they are accident damaged. Many cars have now "caught up" with your sort of mileage and yet now $14k+.

Happy to look to USA or GCC countries and do some hard work, but at the minute there doesn't seem much to gain. A 2006/2007 manual with 100k or so on the clock coming in around £15k. Add shipping and import duties and we are at £20k assuming little cost in conformity issues etc.

Seems like a great many cars during Covid - their price has taken a bounce upward.
