Hi everyone. Had a scary moment in my 2016 Mustang the other day after exiting a hand car wash. Upon acceleration we ended up sideways for a good few moments. Could have been the wet on the tyres so we are looking into getting some tyres with better grip. Currently have Pirelli P0's. Anyone have any thoughts on tyres with better grip? Thanks!

The consensus of opinion is that pretty much any brand is better than the factory supplied Pirellii P Zeros. I believe the 2016 cars were shipped with a Pirelli which would be classed as a US summer compound so it needs lots of heat to work well which we don't get often in the UK.

The 2018+ cars ship with Michelin PS4S which is about the best tyre for the car. I would suggest these or if you want to save money then realistically any other brand, Kumho, Falken etc would be an improvement over the Pirellis.

I've just picked up a 2016 GT, the tyres are a bit of a mix. I am looking into the Bridgestone Weather Controls as all-season and I intend to use the car all year round. They are available in the 2 different sizes needed.
