Selling on Fleabay

Hi all,

Never sold anything on ebay before and want to off load a couple of items (mini disc player and a nokia 6230) as i'm flat broke this month.

I'm sure its very simple but whats the process? I've got a Paypal account that i've used to buy things with but how do I take money from people?

Whats the process? I don't want to get stung!

All your buyers need to know is your email address you have reigistered with Paypal, and then they can pay you and Paypal will notify you payment is received.

Dead easy.

You're best off reading through the Ebay help pages, but this is what I do:

1. watch a few auctions of similar items. this gives you an idea of what it should fetch, and the postage that most people are charging.

2. Take the photos and write the ad.

3. Try to make sure the auction ends on sunday evening. for some reason, they tend to make more.

4. be prompt in answering questions and contacting the winner at the end. Have your packaging ready.

I usually accept Paypal or bank transfer, those are easiest. once you've received payment, send the package.

I sold a load of car bits using ebay last year. I found it quite simple. So simple in fact I cant remember the process but it all seemed to work!

When they win your auction you send them an invoice. When they get it, it will have a 'Pay Now' button on it. They follow it through and, if they pay by PayPal, the funds will arrive in your PayPal account. You can see this, just like internet banking, by logging in at paypal.com.
