Recently discussed CarGurus, and even though the list of cars is a lot less extensive than on AT, I absolutely love the price history section.
Found a fair few car supermarkets increase their prices by £200 on Monday this week, no doubt due to walk-ins now being allowed. Also some cars which seem like reasonable deals being up for sale for 3+ months? Which goes against the general narrative I've seen of cars going within a few days during lockdown. Would be an interesting question to ask the dealer; Not too sure I'd want a car sitting in a lot for 5-6 months!
I think it could be a useful bargaining tool when viewing a car, as if you know a car has been regularly dropped in price or in the dealership for quite a long while, chances are they'll be wanting to get rid of it quick and you'll most likely be able to knock off a bit more off the price. Also raises suspicions slightly when there's a '18 Golf with 12,000 miles on the clock for ~£11,000, yet it hasn't been moved from the website since August last year!
