As I mentioned in the dedicated bike banter garage thread yesterday, a new to me bike was appearing today.

Well it arrived this morning, and I know from other threads, they get a bit of a mixed bag of responses, but since I saw them launched a couple of years back, I really liked them, and suited my type of riding these days

So, now to join my LC and my ccm 404sm, I now also have a spitfire flattracker, had its frame already replaced due to the rusting issues the launched laqured versions suffer from, previous owner chose cherry red, done just over 2k miles and its a 2019 bike

Obviously personally I like it. Had quite a bit lavished on it from the accessories depart of CCM, Billet parts and carbon. Number 235/250

Is there a 'buy British' attraction to these? If it was made in France for example would you still buy one?

Why would you get a slating? Is there some sort of anti-ccm thing here?

I think they look mint beer

I'm not so into British products, that I only buy them before anything else (although I do also own a TVR and a Mini)

I just really liked the bike when it was launched

Odd question if I'm honest, its a lump of metal that appears to work well, could be made anywhere for that.

Past spitfire threads have had the odd craft beer and beardy Hipster association mentioned, I fall into neither of those sectors though.

Its the caliper mount on the right fork that gets me, it looks odd.

Me too, BUT overall a great looking bike. They also sound bloody good.

Strange comment.

Nice bike OP. One overtook me the other day and when it was behind me I was desperately trying to work out what it was! I’m usually pretty good at guessing bikes, but the CCM had me beaten!

Sounded good too smile

Very smart. Much better than this Jap stuff covered in plastic panels.

With motorcycles you need to see the engine, (imo)

I sat on one of these on a stand at the TT a couple of years ago. I really like them (from a visual perspective as I've not ridden one) as they stand out as being something a little different.
A nice bit of variety from the 'big players' who can easily look very similar to each other..

I hope you enjoy it.. (And report back what it's like to own of course cool )

Looks great, and nice to see you get something customised fresh from the factory. CCM seem to be onto a winner with that model.

Love the look of these but looking at that pic, it looks like the fork crown has whacked the the tank and put a dent in it. I'm sure it's part of the design and it might just be the angle but just looks a bit odd.

I think they look great, even better in the flesh than the photos (don't care where they are made either) - enjoy!

The one that followed me the other day had the mirrors under the handlebars I think. Looked quite different!

I got one 2 weeks ago Rigga - a Spitfire Six. Liking it so far. So light and manoeuvrable

I think there was a lot of early trouble with customer service that they have sorted now

Great bikes / custom look / good components

I spotted one a few weeks back. Sounded ace, but the bloke riding it was not exactly svelte, making the bike look a bit toy-like.
I wish there were more bikes like this on the market - bare bones, light, great design & sound good!
