As for prices in a years time, just look at a Autotrader for 2016 cars now to get an idea.
I’d say the bottom for decent cars is £18k next year, £19k this year at dealers with whatever haggling you can do after that.
Mines just under 3 years old 18 plate and WBAC still offer £22k at 25000 miles, they seem to drop £1.5 to £2k a year after they get to three years old depending on spec.

I’ve been watching the prices on these, they are holding up remarkably well. From a dealer they are still £22/23k and have been hovering around this for a while.
I think the cheap lease deals drying up has caused the prices to hold firm for now, as for next year, who knows, the MK8 R estate will be with us then which could affect the prices a little.

In regards to specs I’m not really fussed, just would like the more updated interior of the GOLF R which comes with 7.5 rather than the 7. As for prices in a years time, just look at a Autotrader for 2016 cars now to get an idea.
