Hi,
I'm still searching the AUC areas for an M4C but noticed a couple of things, on a very small number of cars it states that finance may not be available (and as such has no pcp or HP link) - does that mean that the Car itself may have issues?. Seems odd (the same dealership offering finance on other cars). It's not so much an issue to me because I don't intend using BMW finance, any loan I need would come from Barclays anyway as their rates are better, but I'm curious as to why the car in question doesn't have a finance option on it.

Secondly, again in very few circumstances there is an option to value a trade in, I was pretty surprised at the offer for mine, only around £700 or so off book (or what I'd punt it out to Ebay at). Does every dealer offer a trade in where they value the car to roughly the same parameters?. My way of thinking is that if I can negotiate around £500 off any potential purchase, then the hit would be less severe with the added bonus of not dealing with the Ebay chancers.

There's a good selection of cars out there at the moment, I've come close to a couple, sadly though only one Sakir Orange / black leather and located in Luton, but only with an HK system in it and no other options frown

Why would you think not offering finance would mean the car has issues? No, absolutely not. Why would BMW retail a car with warranty they knew had issues? It would be sent off to auction or fixed.

No idea about why some wouldn't offer finance online but I'm sure they would if you enquired.

Dealers tend to use roughly the same tools to value but may be persuaded to bid slightly higher if they think it is something in current demand or if they have plenty of money in the sale to you.

I wouldn't assume you can negotiate £500 off at all. Some they may not budge at all on, some you might be able to find £2k on. It will depend on demand, supply of stock, price they paid, market value, length of time on sale, number of enquires etc.
