Bumbles can be found from anyone in public life who is quoted daily. We like his leadership and his steadfastness. Dwell on his quotes and grammer all you want while Imams preach your own destruction from London street corners. You might want to admit that you really don't like him because he has balls that you wish your leader's had.

It was heavily edited; that movie really does not qualify as a documentary as it is patchworked opinion. Even diehard Democrats like Ed Koch (former New York City Mayor) condemned that film as utter one-sided bull$hit.
Why don't we hear Clintonism or Bush seniorisms? George W Bush is not a quick thinking or intelligent leader. I think you may be mistaking steadfastness for inertia and stupidity.
Tony Blair is in my opinion a rat faced little nobody who is trying to bugger the tax paying majority into submission, however he has got a modicum of nous and without doubt he is a real player, Bush isn't!

Carter and Clinton were extremely intelligent men, but sucked as leaders. One does not automatically equal the other. If one has a vision and focus, then surrounds themselves with smarter people to carry out the specifics, things get done. Carter and Clinton were both such micromanagers that nothing worked out. Some of the business world's most effective CEOs are not close to being the smartest. I have met George W while he was Governor of texas. I was there for flood assistance in October of 98 or 99. Again via VTC in post 9/11. He is an awkward man but, in my opinion, he is not in the least bit stupid. His grasp and clarity of issues in person are crisp. Often, Texans or "country" types come across as dumb, when actually, they are being disarming; i.e., dumb like a fox.

It is funny how Republican American Presidents tend to get derided as morons here in the UK.
First Ronald Reagan, now George Bush Jnr.
Just for the record I understand that George Bush achieved a higher SAT score than his opponent in the last presidential election, John Kerry.
He does have a habit of mangling what he is trying to say at times-perhaps he gets nervous.
Anyhow I have never really understood the frequency with which George Bush is criticized on PH's-he is after all a President of the Right, who stands for many of the same things many Piston Header's stand for.

Thank you Jag; I was about to cite the Reagan example. I am old enough to remember when Europe thought he was both dumb and the devil for placing SS-20 missiles in Europe. As hidsight shows, tough stances, not appeasement helped bring down the USSR. Power is all some respect and respond to; sorry, it is just how it is.
i might be alone in thinking he's a quite intelligent bloke who cleverly acts up to this downhome cowboy texas thing (he was born in connecticut and educated at harvard and yale) to appeal to a large section of the american public, who don't like their politicians to be too smart-arsed

He is the product of a political dynasty marketed as a down to earth Texan.

Bush stands for very little that i agree with. The man is in the pocket of the US oil industry, is pursuing a US-centric agenda which will harm trade with Europe (and is actively levying punitive taxes on some European goods), is a fundamentalist christian (who I hold in the same contempt as certain other fundamentalists), and is behind efforts to keep the restriction on US healthcare to those with insurance, at the expense of a growing US underclass!
That's just what I could think of off the top of my head...there's bound to be more.
Couldn't agree more. As far as I am concerned he is a truly repellant, disgusting character and whether or not he is acting the guy is a dickhead.
