I'm so happy to join the forum, I have a semi already so let's get started.
My first 'car', or whatever the f
k it's supposed to be. My fleet has expanded as I've found a new retirement home with new victims and I'm slowly reclaiming my lost fortune which is definitely more than most of you have ever had. Anyway, It has been kept for sentimental reasons, right at the back of an old garage under a cover where nobody (thankfully) can see it.
The badge on the back says Daewoo but I call it the Daepoo. Before moving on, I send a virtual mickey slap to whoever designed this car.
When I bought it the body had multiple dents and it's much worse now because I'd kick the
everytime I walked passed it.
The car has an 800cc engine which means acceleration is measured with a calender and it has less power than your electric toothbrush. Seriously; my mickey slaps generate more power! The sorry thing can just about manage 3 normal people or 1 American. There's not much boot space but I managed to squeeze a piece of paper in there once, I made sure to remove it as it was worth more than the car.
Because of the small size it's very dangerous and I had to avoid puddles like the devil when I drove it. It's also s
t in a crash so I planned to jump out the window if I had time in the event of an accident, that or into the back seat if I wanted an open casket funeral.
The pictures are old and were taken when I first bought the vehicle as there's no way I'm looking at that thing again. I hope I uploaded the right pictures as I did it with squinted eyes because it makes my eyes water.
I don't know much about the car's history as the average house price was quite low in the area so for my safety I rushed the transaction along. The previous owner was a cross between Stevie Wonder and Forest Gump; he couldn't count so I had to retreieve the cash from his guide dog and deal with it myself.
Finally, as an experienced Matiz owner, I created a list of actions suitable (and not suitable) to the faecal matter on wheels.
Suitable for: Rich people who want to know how bad poverty is, competing in a Demo Derby on "hard mode", lowering house prices in it's immiediate vicinity, making people dislike you and question your worth as a human being, discovering the inspiring performance of 750kg of pig iron powered by a pencil sharpener motor, scrapping, crashing on purpose, helping you realise that stupid people make cars too, using as a football goal, scrapping, smoking in, using as a prop in a post apocalyptic film and scrapping.
Not suitable for: Having an accident in, being taken seriously in, looking at, thinking about, comprehending, inspiring confidence in your family or friends, taking care of, car-like duties, attracting the opposite sex, attracting anything, roads, cover in a firefight, hills in any way shape or form and flaunting wealth.

Checks thread title - Potential for interest - maybe a little secret squirrel - but sometimes unusual thread titles have surprises
Checks out thread - hmmm
I think there is good in every car and there really isn't anything that can be called a bad car but I am prepared to have my mind changed

I had a bright yellow Chevrolet version. Apart from replacing the coil pack every few months it was great. It reminded me of my first car, a '68 Mini 850 and it was a fun thrash around the lanes of Cornwall. I had to drive by thinking ahead and maintaining momentum which was what made it fun I guess? I gave to my son in the end and he p/x'd it against a Suzuki Swift sport, which was just as much fun but quicker.
I have been in a rental one of these driven across country by a former club level rally driver with absolutely zero f***s given. He was waxing lyrical about how well it responded to left foot braking to get it turned in, and indeed that seemed to be the case. Until the front brake pads caught fire.
Not a bad little runabout.

The 3 cyl engine revs well and the one I had had a buzzer sound when it was time to change up - at least thats what I used it for.
It beat using public transport and did not pretend to be anything but basic transport that is easy to drive and park in cities, I liked it for that reason alone and yes the accident thought crossed my mind a few times.
Far too many small hatches trying to offer every option going has softened people these days.
