Which would you go for a M4 or a M4 Comp?
Discussion
I'm picking up a 2018 model M4 Coupe tomorrow in San Merino Blue and I keep wondering if I should've gone for the Comp model.
The reasons I went for the normal M4 over the M4 Comp were...the 20" comp wheel design has never grabbed me(plus I had a bad experience on 20's in the 640d) so I prefer the 19's. I also prefer the chrome exhaust tips(I have a strange autosol fetish!) on the normal M4 as opposed to the black tips on the comp. Wanting a BMW AUC in San Merino Blue also limited my choice somewhat.
Which way would you go or which way have you gone?

Either will be great, I keep coming back to them. Just enjoy it for what it is.
Thanks.
Yes and I'm trying not to over think it too much.
I can't see me getting much sleep tonight to be fair. I always get myself over excited when I'm changing cars! I remember hardly getting any sleep the night before I picked the E92 M3 up as well.
I will miss the Mini in many ways though because I have been really happy with it. I really like how relatively small and light it has been, and it has been a cracking thing to throw down a nice back road.

Not many non comps around in SMB. Was it the one at Lloyd Motor Group BMW?The reasons I went for the normal M4 over the M4 Comp were...the 20" comp wheel design has never grabbed me(plus I had a bad experience on 20's in the 640d) so I prefer the 19's. I have in cash and PX a nice 2015's worth but will hang on a bit longer, suspect the comps will drop nearer to my budget.
Then I realise I am doing like 10 miles a week and wonder what the point is !
Is the 5.0 Mustang still in contention with the M4 for you? Then I realise I am doing like 10 miles a week and wonder what the point is !
Got the youngest learning in mine, he is doing an auto only test and a M4 may be a step too far though his mate had one at the same age (21)
Keep getting hit with house stuff, nearly five grand on a boiler, £500 on roof repairs this week.
Plus, had to put tyres on the M135i, which is usually my cue to sell it as I buy cars needing tyres, then sell them with new ones on.
Will get all this nonsense out the way and him through his test then will have a look.
Be interested to hear your impressions.

Good move Lee. You'll love the car and it will be great to hear how it compares to the E92.
I have resolved my own Autosol fetish. I now use Meguiars metal polish.
Thank you. I have resolved my own Autosol fetish. I now use Meguiars metal polish.
I will definitely look into the Meguiars option for sure.
I feel quite guilty for going for the DCT to be fair!

I love the fact that your M2 is a manual.

That is a massive test for sure Mark. Keep getting hit with house stuff, nearly five grand on a boiler, £500 on roof repairs this week.

Wishing you all the best going forward bud.

Personally, I would buy a non-comp and :
Fit my own personal choice of suspension
Resolve the crank-hub issues
Fit my own personal choice of wheels
You can have the better gearbox, differential and suspension settings flashed onto the car easily.
So you can save many many thousands on the initial purchase price.
One day, I'd love to own one!
PS. You can buy warranty from BMW online on any BMW car (pending some specifics regarding mileage and age)

Granted I rather enjoy fettling with cars, so this may not be for everyone!!!
