So I’m looking to buy a 100k mile Subaru BRZ, even though they are very similar to the gt86 I seem to prefer them for some reason.

Is there anything I need to look out for when buying on and do you think a car of this mileage is sensible or brave?

Give it a thorough test drive try to find some rough road & listen for any noises from the suspension (due to the mileage) apart from that nothing that you wouldn't check on any other car.

^ needs to be £8k at those miles. That price would be for 50k miles IMO.

As others have said you have to really want a BRZ when you can get a nicely fettled GT86 with around 30-40k less for the same money:

There’s a certain model year of these that was subject to a manufacturer recall involving a partial engine rebuild. I’d look out for one those if buying a high miler. I agree that the BRZ version of these cars has a certain draw to it even though they’re the same car - perhaps it’s a rarity premium.

Yeah I’ve talked to the dealer and they say it’s been done, I’ve had a look and for gt86 prices are about the same, there’s an 86 for £500 less with slightly more miles so I think I’m gonna go for the brz if it’s what I hope it to be.

I’ve had a look, ones sold, other is an auto and the 3rd more expensive, over 80k miles on it, still has finance on it and is modified

I'm guessing the one with 68k on the clock for £200 more than the BRZ is the one that's sold. they were just to give you an indication of what's out there GT86 wise. Personally I think that BRZ has to come down by 1k to make it a decent price.
