2007 TVR TUSCAN S TARGA - ONE OF THE LAST

Just bought this a few weeks ago. Was initially looking for a late model Tuscan Convertible in a typical loud TVR paint scheme, but the owner of one of the last Tuscans to be built before TVR went bust in 2006 contacted me. This is a rare Tuscan Targa with the ‘wavey dash’, updated suspension & engine used in the Sagaris - unofficially known as the MK3 Tuscan. There’s no reliable register of how many Wavey Dash Targa’s were built, but it is believed there’s approx 20. The car is immaculate and only has 25K miles. Sounds like thunder and is fast relief from constipation when driven in the damp. 400BHP in a GRP bathtub with no nanny aids or airbags focusses the mind.

Yep, I think the targa is more ‘all weather’ useable and I’m glad I bought it instead of a vert. Removing the rear screen is a nice trick as it lets the exhaust noise into the cabin, whilst keeping any drizzle and sLoving the garage too
tty weather out.The garage was built for the car. I would describe it more as a steel sarcophagus to maintain it in the best possible environment. I intend to keep the car until I can’t drive it.
It’s made from a standard 20ft x 8ft shipping container, which is then widened to 10ft. The interior has an internal frame to mount the plywood lining, which behind is fully rock-wool insulated. There’s electrics, heater and dehumidifier. The doors are steel with thick rubber compressed seals forming a fully water-proof and damp-proof interior. It’s is all made from Corten steel which is designed to oxidise, but form its own self-preserving barrier (Angel of the North is made from the same stuff). Hell of an alternative to a traditional wood and brick garage, and will last longer with bugger all maintenance except greasing the hinges occasionally.
When the weather improves the exterior will be clad in wood, which is why there are 6 x steel box sections welded to the exterior for mounting points.

Is the S6 ROR numberplate for sale, or did the previous owner keep it?
Previous owner retained it, but I think he may be selling it. He’s had 14 x TVR’s and is having a break from TVR. Lookup S6 ROR in the TVR forum, it’s his ID.Is the S6 ROR numberplate for sale, or did the previous owner keep it?

No offence taken. Private plates aren’t just for vanity. If you choose right, and buy from DVLA before they hit the market, they are a very good investment. I’ve always made decent profit on a plate.I own a number of plates. The best one I own is WHU 120N (West Ham United Iron), which I bought in a DVLA auction. I’ve been offered multiple times what I paid for it. I’ll sell when/if they win a major cup, which should bring a premium. Currently, it resides on this full nut’n’bolt resto-mod Nissan Figaro. Great town car.

Fantastic car and equally fantastic garage! I’d never considered one in black before but it really suits the later body shape - looks really mean.
Not sure what exhaust it has but one thing I wish I’d done on mine early was a Powertech (carbon can company) exhaust - the noise is addictive!

It’s got a stainless ACT exhaust with what looks like carbon cans. The noise is nuts.
