10,000 Prowlers
Love it or hate it, it's been a success

hey, if its a bit underpowered for its competition, at least give it full credit for its hp. it was a 3.5 liter 214 hp back when it was introduced and when the chrysler sedans got new motors, so did the prowler... it currently runs a 253 hp V6. (good for 0-60 mph runs in the low 6's)Chrysler has been trying to figure a way to get a V8 prowler into production, but the current v6 precluded chrysler's smallest available v8, the 4.7 by at least a year and a half. If this were a car that was in a slump and needed a boost, you better believe chrysler would have introduced the 4.7, but the prowler is a truly niche vehicle, something that has been rather successful, despite stupid comparisons between this and more focused sporting cars like a corvette (TVR people back down for a second and realize that this car was designed for nostalgia-hungry americans). the last reason why the v8 was never installed was that the prowler was never intended to be a model that got updated every few years to keep it fresh, it was originally a prowler for chrissake, but chrysler kept it onboard because demand has been strong. And why blow development money on something that currently outsells your expectations? :-D
