Hi,

My dad has a Mk2 MX5. I think it's a 1.8 model and is from about 1998.

It has the standard-fit steering wheel on it which is a bit nasty. It's plastic and faded and feels squishy to the fingers. I've bought him a wooden one for his birthday, as it's more his style and he loves the car. It's like this:

I know I haven't given much information here but I am assuming that it will be a straight swap to take the old wheel off and put the new wheel on? Is this so?

(If not then what else am I going to have to buy to make it work?!)

Thanks for your help.

pti,

Thanks for your help, sorry for not replying sooner.

Yes, it was a nice and easy straight swap! Looked a WHOLE lot better than the original.

Thanks again for your help.

Looks great! I love a wooden Nardi cool

Was tempted down that route myself but have gone a different direction

Nice - I like that! (And those gauges look fab!)

I specifically wanted a wheel with an airbag as my dad isn't getting any younger and the loss of a good safety feature for him didn't appeal. However he was VERY chuffed with it! smile

Thanks again.
