Paddy 328 aka Francis Maloney
Discussion
After posting last week on this forum about wanting a detail and sealant (nano coating) applied to my DB9, Francis (Paddy328) was in touch and I agreed for him to do a day’s work yesterday.
He turned up at 8am sharp from over an hour away and didn’t leave my garage until almost midnight, seemingly without taking a break.
The car looks incredible compared to before - all fine lines, whirls, haze removed and the paint looks so much deeper. He would have liked to do 2-3 days but sadly my budget is being saved for other upgrades!
All I can say is I think he is fantastic value, incredibly talented, very friendly and has the best work ethic I’ve come across - highly recommended to anyone who needs to upgrade their paintwork. I aim to get him back every 3 years or so to keep things looking so good.
Will post a photo when the weather allows me to get the car out properly...

Well, all lies, but thank you. I got there at 8:15 and left at 23:45 and no, I didn’t have a break. I haven’t done a proper shift in a while and it’s taken it out of me lol. I wouldn’t have been able to work that long if it wasn’t for the Ribena! Such a cool colour and despite only having the one day on it (15 hours) it made such a big difference.
Absolute top bloke.
Pete, about time I came out and gave your car some pampering. It’s been too long.

Just chipping in to confirm Paddy's awesomeness on Onyx.
I'm feeling guilty now as I offered him stuff but he ate and drank only that which he brought with him. For three days. In the freezing cold.
Cost me a bloody fortune on new wash mitts, drying cloths, shampoo, pressure washer, blaster dryer, etc, though. He never actually criticised anything I showed him that I used, just looked slightly disappointed, then offered me a list of his recommended products.

So these posts drive me absolutely bananas!
I can’t find anyone even remotely qualified to detail my car unless I travel 90 miles one way, and yet you fortunate souls in the UK not only have Francis but he is willing to come directly to your homes.
One takeaway from the many posts praising Francis is that he obviously likes cake. This must at least be part of the formula of enticing him to work on your Aston’s.
With that in mind I’ll see if I can get him on this side of the pond with the 100% edible cake below.

Correct. The plan was for it to happen last year but then something got in the way .........Trouble is you do too good a job. Five years (with no garage to hide from the elements in) since it was done by you and it's still looking in remarkably good shape. Apart from the bits that have bubbled and been repainted (a coupe of times).
Anyway, it's very nearly Spring so we could almost start looking at diaries
I'd also like to vouch for Francis' work which is absolutely top notch. I was recommended to him by the AM Vantage facebook group though he actually did a paint correction and ceramic coating on my basalt black 997 turbo and he did an immaculate job over a (very) long weekend.
He also returned a few weeks later with a new "turbo" boot badge and fitted it (after removing the old badge, polishing underneath) at no extra cost.

Cake is not an essential requirement, Nick did me some pizza, which was very good!
The cake thing has been doing the rounds for years and I used to have people get their wives to bake cakes for me when I come to do the car. To be honest, the last thing I need is more calories, but who am I to refuse.

What part of the country do you cover Paddy?
All of it. However, if it’s really far away, say 3 hours plus, then I would need to find more than one car to do up there. I have two bases, 5 mins from the factory in gaydon and Virginia water in Surrey. I however don’t have a unit to work in, so I have to come to your house and work there westhumbler said:
Paddy - I'm not far from Virginia Water - do you have web site / email address / phone number I can contact you on?
My mobile number is 07909541048 my website is being rebuilt as emails never seem to make it to me and it’s very dated. You can look at some of the cars I do on my Instagram emeralddetailing Hi Paddy - quick question if I may, I’ve wet and dried my V8V front lights with 600, 1000, 1500, 2500 and 3000 and give them a light DA with Menzerna Final Finish on a Rupes white pad. They’re not quite sparkling yet, so question is, do I keep going with the Final Finish or would you recommend finishing off with something else to get the best result.
