Sonos Amp? But I don’t need it to drive any wired speakers, I just want to play records on my wireless play one speakers.

Any advice welcome. Thanks

Sonos amp and you will also need a phono amp on the turntable side to increase the input into the Sonos

Thanks,

Yes already have it connected to the phono port of my ancient amplifier. Pre-amp required then?

The old amp you have will have a pre amp built in, the Sonos will not

yes, you need a phono pre-amp and then a Sonos device with Line in.

If you dont already have many sonos components look at the alternatives. Yamaha Musicast is a good system - RN602 has a good phono input and can stream.

Well, the easiest way is to buy a Bluetooth record deck:

If you amplifier has a Line Out you could simply wire that into a BT transmitter or if your amp has a headphone out you could use that into a BT transmitter: there are loads available. Failing that you'll need to fanny aroud with a phono pre amp & run that into a BT transmitter.

Get a Pro-Ject Phono Box E - about £50.

Sonos Port is the one you want not the amp. The port is for input and output to powered(active) speakers. Amp is for input and output to passive speakers.

Options are limited as the Sonos One is not bluetooth. Sonos Port £400 plus an mm pre-amp £50 and keep the existing turntable. Personally I'd get a Sonos 5 and a phono stage as you can line into the 5 and then stream and have a new speaker for an additional £70ish.
