Drove past today, seems to be something very big being filmed, lots of tents and a big wooden structure.
Anyone know what it is being filmed?

At Pinewood there is at the moment, Longcross being associated with Pinewood, that would be a good guess, although there are something like 9 big film productions happening in the UK at the moment, so could be any of them.

Is it as big as the Death on the Nile set that was there last year?

I drive past there and have wanted to have a nose around. You can hear cars racing around the race track from the house. I always assume it’s Mclaren’s from ascot

Not quite a race track, just a test track.
All new McLarens are tested there from the factory, the carbon ceramic brakes need a careful bedding in procedure.

We (Motor clubs) used to use it for single venue rallies. Then the studios bought the place and got all twitchy about who could see the sets and stopped us using it. The last rally I did there went round a Clash of the Titans temple in the middle of the skid pan.

There's still a lot of TV and magazine photo shoots as well as the McLaren factory stuff. I've seen prototypes as well as the usual running in work.

There was a fatal crash at Longcross in 2018 I think and the track was closed to car clubs and private tests. Has this changed
