I bought this a couple of weeks ago and it seems to be quite rare as it comes with the ac schnitzer tuning pack which results in about 265bhp to the front wheels!

It also comes lowered and on 19 inch wheels which makes the ride quite firm.

Previous owner had a go at painting the engine plastics and unfortunately didn't do a great job so the first job was to return that to standard. I need to get some proper pics but attached some. It's very quick and very loud. I'll fit a cold air feed to release some more turbo sound but for now; am enjoying its little pops and bangs

Yeah - more info OP.

I didn’t realise you could get an AC package on a mini. Is that on top of the JCW goodies?

It is. I'll post more pics when not on mobile.

Update:

I've Created - or tried to create a google album. Hope this works:

https://photos.app.goo.gl/KEWFPGNyd4c5xyyo7

I plan on modifying this a fair part and doing some track days but I don't want to ruin the special wheels and 19" tyres are expensive at this size. I think I can get away with an 18" wheel with a small spacer to clear the brakes but 18s would be even better and some triple 8's for when I'm allowed back on knockhill

Looks great. The home sprayed plastics had to go.

Nice one OP.

Thanks. I also hand painted them. Just took more care with the sanding, prep and proper layers. It isn't perfect when you look closer.

Nice job on the engine bits, I thought from the photos you had just replaced them with new OEM ones.

Just IMHO, but not a great fan of those alloys, presumably they are quite expensive..... and the ride will be very hard with those as you have mentioned.
A pal has just got a new Cooper on lease, not sure of the model, but is is in a light grey and has about 300BHP as standard... a JCW maybe ?

He reckons it is quicker than his Boxster S....!!

The wheels are a bit much for a mini and yes, very expensive.

This has around 280 brake with so much more to be released. When I first drove it in a spirited manner it was toying with an evo 9, very quick indeed and does a decent job of managing torque steer but I'm not sure if they have updated diff.

It moves well and has the ability to pop a rear wheel under pressure and the rear moves around when provoked.

In sport mode it opens up the exhaust and you get some noise on down shift. Some are so loud I wonder if any flames appear. But yes. I have surprised much more exotic machines

Engine bay looks much better now. I think it might look better on smaller wheels, 19" is a fair size on a Mini.

That will be a JCW GP and will have a unique number. I would have thought the Boeing 747 wing on the back would be a giveaway!

Tidy car OP, nice colour. I forget what colour BMW call our F54 Cooper S but it looks similar.

I actually reserved a GP but i couldn't make peace with that wing or aches.

I'm not far away from 300 brake as it is and have a plan to upgrade toa to he GP digital dash but I need to get a copy of esys / ista, and learn coding.

Then we are into the world of wavetrack diffs at scary money and you trade daily usability for track performance. THe state of our roads in the UK would make a locked diff annoying.

I looked back at an email I sent to AC to confirm it's legit and on confirmation its currently sat at 285bhp and there isn't a lot on the road that will touch it. THere are also those who don't try unless they know what they are looking at. It's loud, even in green mode its loud. Sports mode enables the pops and bangs which are good fun if a little pointless. I thought maybeybe it would help reduce turbo lag but you can still feel it and the twin scroll unit does it's job well.

That’s very cool. I wasn’t even aware that ACS mucked around with the MCS.

Looking through the photos, looks like it’s suffering with the door seal issue; they’re really rough and eat through the paint. The sills on my other half’s F56 Cooper were repainted and covered in clear tape plus new seals (which by the time we got rid of it were rubbing in a different place). Was it an AUC?

Yeah, it's going in on Wednesday as the tracking is way off. I'll bring this paint issue up to.

It’s a known issue so there shouldn’t be any kick back.

God knows where BMW get their seals from; the MINI ones eat the paint and those on things like my 140 creak when it’s warm.

Looks good and I bet it is a riot to drive!

I'd agree that the wheels are too big and would downsize. I'd also fit painted or coated brake discs so they don't rust and look unsightly
