720.......... if you're really really brave. My 720 ownership reminded me of when I was 17 and I owned a Renault 5 gt turbo. Going out and wandering how you'll get home. Great when it's working but never again.

If I had to choose for a special car McLaren, for a more regular use car, Ferrari.

For an overall ownership proposition, Ferrari

A Ferrari is probably the only car I'd spend money on beyond £150k. The fact that it's up against a McLaren makes it a no contest for me.

Aside from their well documented build quality, reliability and dealership issues, I just can't get excited about the brand. Nothing about their cars gives me that "want one" feeling. I also don't like their interiors, as they're always plastered with that awful alcantara.

By contrast, when I think of a Ferrari, all sense goes out of the window and I start imagining all the ridiculous things I would sacrifice to get one.

Out of those two, I am not sure... If the 488 is a convertible...........

But with 150k to spare on a car I would buy a DB11 Volante.....

Alcantara was an option. There are plenty of McLaren's with leather interior.
Not that it really affects people's buying choices much.
