Volvo XC60 - 2012ish

Morning chaps/chapettes,

Just wondering on people’s opinion on the XC60 as looking at one to use a dog mobile. Reliable? Good purchase?

Might have been sorted by then but the front screen used to de-bond and leak inside, the carpet is foam backed and can hide a lot of water.

Manual gear linkage, I had it lock up on me on the dual carriageway, luckily managed to roll off on a slip road. Lot's of wiggling/tapping and I could select gears again.......it never happened again (owned the car maybe 2 years?)

I like the car otherwise, I had the fwd only version and it was my first modern (ish at the time) diesel and sipped fuel for it's size.

Change the aux belt religiously, it's quite an insubstantial (thin) ribbed belt and if it snaps it can sometimes take out the cambelt behind the plastic cover ie big expense for the sake of a £15 belt.

They're good car not light maintenance wise but good in general, I'd also look at the Grand Cherokee & Infiniti EX/QX50.
